Irregular Grid Layouts

Grid layout have been around the industry for quite some time. With grid system you can establish a theme and make user friendly websites. It will help your users to find all of your valuable content.

All CMS use grid system to make their templates. Last year CSS grid was introduce and it gives designers to play wide range of grid layouts.

2018 took advantage of these grid system to design modern websites. Grid system utilize more neutral space and irregular grid layout design. But remember the Golden Ratio isn’t going away anytime soon.


Broken Grid Layouts

Like irregular grid system, broken grid layouts also pick up in 2018. Grid layout bring more peaceful and logic to your layouts. Which isn’t to say that broken grid layouts ditch the concept of the grid altogether. But they allow images and text elements to drift into and across the gutters that usually serve as hard stops in soberer layouts. Flat design has been in trend for several years but in 2017 semi-flat design became more dominant and seems like it will continue to grow in 2018.

Semi-flat design incorporates the simple, clean feeling of flat design while including subtle shading for greater depth and complexity. Like gradients, shadows were shelved in favor of minimalism and 2D design. In 2018 designers will be experimenting more and more with updated, softened, and stylized shadows in their work.”

Over the past year you probably noticed the increase in the use of bold text and bright colors used across digital platforms and this won’t slow down in 2018. Bold type text are usually eye catching and influence people. Big Bold type helps your users focus on the most important part of your website, the content. Most of the visitors reading the head line and most important paragraph. Bright colors and bold text will get their attention. The goal is to keep people on your website for as long as possible and hopefully convert them into customers.


AI evolution with Chat Bots

Artificial intelligence is no longer a matter for sci-fi. AI has already worked its way into mainstream web design, through technologies like conversational interfaces (chatbots). Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are the hottest thing in the world right now and that means that there are lot of people trying to capitalize on business owner’s fear of missing out. Make sure the technology you pay for is worth the cost before forking over any cash.
